Printer Setup for Stickers

Purpose and Scope

This page describes the procedures for installing the printer and setting up the stickers to be printed.

Material

Printer Installation

  1. Make sure the printer contain power cable, USB cable and thermal label roll is installed.
  2. The thermal label roll to be used must be brother model DK-11209 with 62mm x 29mm.
  3. Connect the printer to computer using the USB cable.
  4. Connect the printer to power and turn it on.
  5. Download the windows Driver for the printer from https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadtop.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=lpql1110nwbeus.
  6. After download, install it.
  7. The printer will be ready for use.

Setting and Printing Stickers

  1. Login to your medAL-data server.
  2. Under Health Facility, search the health facility for which you want to print label.
  3. Click on Stickers.
  4. A popup will appear. Choose the number of stickers to generate.
  5. Click on Generate.
  6. The pdf with the stickers will be generated.
  7. Do not print the stickers from the browser. Save the pdf at any location in your computer and open it with Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat.
  8. Before printing, select Custom Scale and set to 100%.
  9. Also change the length units to mm and the sticker dimension to 62mm x 29mm then print the stickers.
  10. Make sure the stickers are cut at the end (Cut at end NOT Cut every).
  11. Also print 2 copies.
