This page describes the procedures to successfully install the local router and secure its network.

You will need the following material:

• A router
• A SIM card

1. Check the sim card’s phone number:
   1. Insert it in a phone.
   2. For VODACOM, call *106#.
   3. Select 1.
   4. Write it down.
2. Insert the sim card in the router.
3. Turn on the router.
4. Connect your computer to the router (using an ethernet cable or Wi-Fi).
5. Identify the router IP address, you can find it at the bottom of the router or you can find it using your computer by looking to the network properties.
6. Write the IP address in the web browser url space and press Enter.
7. Change the router admin password, Strong password is highly recommended:
   username: admin
   password: Dain@m1c
8. Update the wireless ID and its password to:
   ssid: Dynamic Study
   password: Dyn@m11c
9. Save the configuration.
10. Check that you are able to connect to the router using the new credentials, and check that you have access to internet.

• Recharging internet bundle in the router sim card there are two ways I. Recharging the internet bundle using other sim card of the same ISP  Recharge the mobile phone/smartphone with the same ISP with router sim card the money which will be enough to buy the required internet bundle.  Follow the procedure to buy the internet bundle from the phone to another sim card number (Router sim card number) II. Recharging the internet bundle by shifting the sim card from the router to the mobile phone.  Shift the sim card from the router to the mobile phone  Recharge the sim card with the money which will be enough to buy the required internet bundle.  Follow the procedure to buy the internet bundle. • If the distance from the local data server to where the tablet will be used is long or there are obstacles which affect the network strength the additional router and Ethernet cable will be required to extend the coverage of the network
