medAL-reader is the app used in the field by health care providers. It interprets the algorithm provided by medAL-creator and merges it with the patient's information to propose diagnoses and treatments. The data collected is pushed to medAL-data.

medAL-reader must be installed on an Android 9+ tablet and associated with the proper health facility, algorithm version (, medAL-hub) and medAL-data. In 2021, this association is defined in medAL-creator. From 2022 on, it is defined in medAL-data.
